Ikke fått offisiell oppsigelsesdato fra jobb

I resigned on the 2nd of January. By the contract, the notice period is 3 months and it starts the first month after the month in which the resignation is handed. So my end day is the 30th of April. The company still did not reply with an official letter about the resignation and it seems that they are trying to make the end day as the 31st of March. It seems that I need a lawyer here. I do not trust them. I asked them today for an official letter.
